I couldn’t resist drawing this cutie when I saw it on the IUCN red list!! The Bales mountains tree frog (that’s a mouthful!) is a round frog with a very short snout that makes it look a little like a muppet if you ask me!
They are sadly critically endangered due to habitat loss and degradation. Their current range is only a tiny 5km squared area in the Bale Mountains located in Ethiopia. It’s also an EDGE species which means it’s totally genetically distinct from all other frogs and even all other amphibians!
