Frequently asked questions
Due to new VAT regulations coming into effect from July 1st 2021, all orders made to EU based customers will be subjected to import tax and duties.
By ordering you are agreeing to pay these fees and any associated fees to receive your order. You will be contacted by your local post services when your order arrives in your country to advise you of what fees there are to pay.
Unfortunately there is no way for me to predict how much these fees can be as they are set by each country individually and different postal services may have different associated fees included (such as handling fees).
If you would like to pre-pay your fees when you purchase (so you know exactly how much it is) then please shop via my Etsy shop which will charge you all relevant fees at the time of purchase from July 1st 2021.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out through my contact form on this page.
10% from your entire order amount (not just profits!) is donated to wildlife conservation. A different organization is chosen every couple months. To find out who we're fundraising for at the moment head to my fundraising page.
Delivery times vary depending on location. Please allow up to 30 working days for your item to arrive as they may be caught in customs. If your parcel still hasn't arrived after 30 working days please contact me either by email (email@example.com) or by using the contact form on this page.
PLEASE NOTE due to the Covid-19 pandemic it may take longer than normal for orders to arrive. Thank you for your patience.
Shipping is sadly, quite expensive - especially because I am a one-woman business and not in a position to cut a deal with a courier company for cheaper shipping like bigger stores. All my shipping is calculated by weight and you only pay for the shipping costs plus a little bit towards the packing materials. If you have any questions about shipping please feel free to drop me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
All my packaging is 100% recyclable including the pangolin themed paper tape and brown packing tape which is made with a vegetable base which is compostable so you can put all the packaging from your order into your paper recycling.
The Hatchling Makes team (me, I’m the whole team) works tireless from my lovely studio, based London. My studio is not open to the public, but you can use the address below if you need my return address!
Please contact me prior to returning orders via the contact form.
