Shipping and Handling

All answers to frequently asked shipping and handling questions are here but if you can't find the answer to your question don't hesitate to contact me! 

WHY IS SHIPPING SO MUCH?
Shipping is sadly, quite expensive - especially because I am a one-woman business and not in a position to cut a deal with a courier company for cheaper shipping like bigger stores. All my shipping is calculated by weight and you only pay for the shipping costs plus a little bit towards the packing materials. HOW ARE ORDERS SHIPPED?
All parcels are sent through Royal Mail. Larger orders are sent with tracking to ensure safe delivery. International orders are processed through Royal Mail and then handed to their partner company in your country (normally the regular postal service). Courier delivery is not available at this time.

CAN I ORDER SOMETHING AS A GIFT?
Yes! If you are buying your item as a gift please make sure you enter the recipient's name and address correctly and I'll send it directly to them.

CUSTOMS FEES
For some countries, customs fees may apply. The buyer assumes all responsibility for paying these fees. This now includes the EU as the UK is no longer part of the free trade agreement as of Jan 1st, 2021.

HOW SOON WILL I GET MY ORDER?
I aim to send all orders within 2-3 business days. 
Delivery times vary depending on location. Please allow up to 30 working days for your item to arrive as they may be caught in customs. If your parcel still hasn't arrived after 30 working days please contact me either by email (tash@hatchlingmakes.com) or by using the contact form.

CHECK YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS CAREFULLY
Please double check your shipping address and information at check out! If this address is incorrect your parcel will be shipped to the wrong location. I cannot take any responsibility for the parcel going to the wrong address. If you'd like your order to be shipped to a friend please leave a note at the checkout with their address. 

DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
Returns are accepted on all physical items. Please contact me within 5 days if you would like to return an item. The buyer assumes all responsibility for returning the item to me including all costs. Refunds will only be issued on items that are returned in a saleable condition and will be processed within 3-5 business days.
