100 Day Project Day 15 (Leaf Sheep)
15/100 of #TashIllustrates100Animals - Leaf Sheep
A contender for the cutest sea slug! The leaf sheep (yes that’s it’s name!) is found in the waters of Japan down to the Philippines and Indonesia. It only grows to 5mm long and their sheeplike “ears” are actually their rhinophores (receptors that they use to taste and “smell”)
Leaf sheep sea slugs are also one of the few critters that can actually photosynthesise! This is because of their algae diet.
