25 days in! I’m so glad to have made it this far. I think this is the furthest I’ve made it in the challenge for the last couple years! 😅😅
The high brown fritillary is the UK’s most threatened species of butterfly! Though it is also found in continental Europe where the population is stable the UK has lost over 90% of their population since the 1970s. It’s a large butterfly species and is often found around bracken and clearings in woodlands. They need very specific habitat to thrive and in 2018 the National Trust were able to create a nature sanctuary which will hopefully be able to bring their population numbers up
