7/100 - Hooded Grebe
The hooded grebe is actually an EDGE species - which means it’s evolutionary distinct from other species and globally endangered. This critically endangered bird was only discovered in the mid 1970s! In early 2019 there were around 650-800 individuals left. They are one of my favourite birds, not only in how wonderful they look but they have the most amazing mating dance! I would suggest looking them up on YouTube!
