I think this might be one of my new favourite birds! The white-crested laughing thrush. It's found in the Himalayan foothills and south east Asian forests, it's actually got one of the largest ranges of all laughing thrushes.
The species classed as least concern by the IUCN but in Malaysia, where they're often trapped, they're rarely found. In a twist, they're considered an invasive species in Singapore where they're thriving and actually threatening some of the local wildlife.
