Charity Pick : May 2019

Charity Pick : May 2019

It's the start of a new month which means that I'm fundraising for a new charity!

Ever since I was a little kid I've adored elephants. We lived in Asia when I was young and so elephants were always around - mostly as tourist attractions, and as a child I definitely didn't understand the implications of that - and I can remember eagerly squealing whenever we happened to go past one of these amazing animals.
I've carried that love of elephants throughout my life and so when I saw that the amazing charity Elephant Family were part of the Work For Good programme I instantly knew I'd be fundraising for them.

Elephant Family campaign tirelessly for Asian elephants, who get a lot less attention than their African cousins. Sadly in the past 10 years a staggering 8,000 elephants were slaughtered in Asia, and Elephant Family are doing everything they can to educate local communities, change legislation around trafficking, the ivory trade and countless other topics.
I'm so humbled by their work and I know they're going to do (and have already done) some amazing things!

Remember 10% from every order is donated to my chosen wildlife charity. All donations are made at the start of the month for the month just gone. You can see how much we've raised so far this year on my Work For Good profile!
In April we raised £23.47 for the Galapagos Conservation Trust!
