Inktober Day 10: Yeti Crab

Inktober Day 10: Yeti Crab

Day 10; Yeti crab

Discovered in 2005, today’s animal is the yeti crab! Their name comes from their hairy appendages, resembling everyone’s favourite snowy monster legend.
There’s 4 species of yeti crabs, all of which live in deep water. They farm their own food (bacteria) on the hairs on their arms and are actually classed as a “squat lobster” even though they’re more closely related to crabs!
