Day 16: Chinese Water Deer

A day late but honestly I’m surprised I’ve been keeping up this long 😂. The Chinese water deer is quite similar to the tufted deer from earlier in the prompt list - but without the tuft! They were once kept at Whipsnade Zoo but some escaped in 1929 and entered int the wild deer population here in Britain. Nowadays it’s thought that up to 10% of the entire world population lives here! Both males and females have tusks but the males are more visibly prominent.
