Inktober Day 27 : Blobfish
Day 27: Blobfish
Probably a recognisable fish to most folks! This is the blobfish, though what we recognise as a blobfish doesn’t actually look like this when is swimming. It only becomes like this when it’s fished up from its deep water habitat and brought to the surface in a rush due to the change in water pressure. It was first discovered in 2003 and the very first blobfish discovered was named “Mr Blobby”! Sadly their only predators are humans who use trawling nets and they die instantly when taken out of the water.
