Inktober Day 29: Aye-aye
Day 29: Aye-aye
It’s so hard to draw an aye-aye! Mostly I guess because they do look a bit like rats dragged backwards through a fence 😂
Aye-ayes are a particularly rare lemur species. They use a method of foraging called “percussive foraging” where they tap on trees to find grubs and then chew a hole in the wood to get to them with their long fingers. They are endangered due to habitat loss as well as deliberate killing by locals who see them as “evil”.
