Day 30: Barreleye/Spookfish
Today’s animal is the barreleye - also known as the spookfish! They’re a fish with a transparent head (google them, they’re WEIRD) and are found in the depths of the Pacific. It’s eyes are directed upwards and are inside the transparent part of the head, though often it’s nostrils are mistaken for the eye sockets as they’re in the more traditional eye area of the fish.
