Clouded leopards are classed as vulnerable by the IUCN due to their forest habitats in southeast Asia being destroyed as well as being victims of poaching.
These amazing big cats have been thought to be one species but in 2006 were actually classed as two different species, the clouded leopard found in Asia and Taiwan and the Sunda clouded leopard found in Borneo and Sumatra. In Malaysia they're also known as "tree tigers".
