Learn about: Ribbon eels
If you played Animal Crossing you may recognize this eel from the game! Come learn about ribbon eels with me.
Ribbon eels are a member of the moray eel family and one of the more unusual animals!
All ribbon eels start off as males with black bodies and yellow dorsal fins, as they age they then change to this blue and yellow combination to signal they're mature males, but then once they reach a specific length they change not just colour but sex as well! Going to totally yellow and becoming female with the ability to lay eggs!
I love these buddies - they're so fun to draw. And I won't lie it's nice to draw animals that aren't just brown or black or grey for a change 😅
