Love Butterfly Challenge: Common Mother Of Pearl
Today’s butterfly is the Mother of Pearl- there’s actually two subspecies so I chose to paint the common mother of pearl butterfly here.
These butterflies are found in Africa and males can often be seen chasing and diving at passing butterflies.
Had a lot of fun with this one and even broke out my one single shimmery watercolour for some mixing to get that green and purple pearlescent feel to it! Watch my stories to see the shine on the first layer!
