Love Butterfly Challenge : Miami Blue
Today’s butterfly is the Miami Blue - butterfly number 5 of the #LoveButterflyChallenge!
Really enjoyed painting this one - though I should have watered down the grey a little for the underside of the wings, it dried a little darker than I wanted them to be.
Miami blue butterflies are native to Florida but are endangered. Captive breeding programmes have helped boost their numbers but they’re still one of the rarest insects in North America.
