Love Butterfly Challenge : Monarch
Monarch butterfly for the #LoveButterflyChallenge. I tried something a bit different with this one because I really wanted that solid black colour in comparison to the light translucent orange areas, so I cracked out my Posca pen and went to town! I think that bold black line really gave it an oomph feel.
I’m going to be taking a break from daily butterflies for the rest of the week so that I can get on with some ideas for some new things (though I’ll be working on them still I’ll just be taking longer). When I started this I was feeling a touch of art block and was feeling a bit down - it’s amazing how much creativity begets more creativity!
