Poison Dart Frogs
Hands up if you love poison dart frogs! 🙋🏻♀️ I absolutely love the colours that you can get with them, and let's be fair, frogs are pretty darn cute!
I sketched and coloured in this little guy during a market - this is an idea I've had for a while after I wanted to do something similar with screen printing but it didn't quite come out how I wanted it!
Did you know that out of the 170 species of poison dart frogs, only 4 are known to have been used by the indigenous people of Central America to poison the tips of their blowdarts! Usually a more common plant was used instead.
This little guy is a strawberry poison dart frog, one of the species that has a huge range of colour variation with between 15-30 colour morphs known! I particularly like this one which has blue fingertips!
