Sketchbook Spread - Bristol Zoo
A little sketchbook spread of the animals we saw whilst walking around Bristol Zoo a couple weeks ago. These were just a few of my favourites from the day - otherwise I'd still be drawing them all!
I know there's a lot of controversy around zoos and how the animals are kept. I do believe the best place for wild animals is in the wild - but the conservation efforts made by zoos around the world to release endangered animals back into the wild is so important and for some species it's their last lifeline. Plus some of the zoos I've been to recently have had excellent information about the plight of the animals and the destruction humans are doing to their habitats which I think is so important for younger generations to learn about.
