Trusting the process
Sometimes stuff doesn’t quite work out. I remind myself that I’m still very new to printing and learning more with every single print. I think sometimes I prefer to just get straight to the end result rather than slowing down and enjoying the process, so I’m trying to do more if that at the moment. Savour each squeegee sound, take my time setting up my workstation and not get frustrated when things don’t work perfectly right away.
The day I took this photo I couldn’t get my prints crisp and it was bugging the hell out of me so I cleaned up and sat down for a few hours before going back, opened my favourite ink and then pulled 8 perfect prints in a row. I’m still a ways off from being at peace with my learning but I’m getting there!
