World Wildlife Day 2020
Today is world wildlife day! The theme this year is “sustaining all life on earth” and I can’t think of a better theme myself!
As you may be aware, through my business I fundraise for wildlife conservation charities every month.
The charities change every two months because whilst I want to help as many charities as I can, I also want to be able to donate amounts that will make a bigger impact and difference to their projects.
For Feb/March 2020 I’m fundraising for the brilliant Sumatran Orangutan Society who are doing vital work protecting not just orangutans but their habitat.
SOS work towards not only rescuing orangutans from dangerous forests but they also buy former farmland that was taken from the forests and replant it to make it suitable orangutan habitat again.
Every £5 helps to grow a tree sapling into a healthy rainforest tree! Of course the added bonus of this is that creating these new habitats will encourage even more wildlife making a thriving forest again.
