When I first started my business I really wanted to incorporate screen printing with embroidery

This is a hard blog post to write. Mostly because it's something that has been a really large part of my life for almost two years now. But I've also sat and thought a lot about it and I think it really is time for me to just get on with it all. 

2019 kicked off with a bang for me as I spoke to my husband about moving me out of my small box studio into our larger store room and he agreed!

2018 was such an incredible year. There were the highest highs and also the lowest lows, but I also learnt so much that I can't even begin to explain it all.

As WWF have been saying recently, we are the first generation to know the extent of the damage we're causing the planet and the first to do something about it. 

When I'm stuck in a creative block, I start a personal creative project.  It sounds counter intuitive doesn't it? To be not finding the joy or the inspiration and using that as a starting place for a personal creative journey? 

October feels like it flew by in the blink of an eye! I still managed to get a lot of work done and hit some big business milestones though! Without further ado here's a quick round up of what I got up to this month.

Every maker is going to have a different creative process - we've all found the technique that we are most comfortable with and can use without thinking.

Summertime has definitely come and gone. As a small business owner, it was my first summer as a full time small business owner (in 2017 I worked part time at a theatre in town).

It's coming up to the festive market season!  With the success of my last blog about markets I thought I'd follow it up with a few more things that I've learnt from craft fairs. This time looking at how to pick a market to go to!
